From 27-29 March 2024, SmartRay will demonstrate its 3D sensors from the leading ECCO series and the turnkey weld inspection solution JOSY, with SmartRay’s advanced 3D sensor technology at their core.

The ECCO X targets the challenges of automated optical inspection in electronics and other challenging industries and delivers exceptional speed and resolution in an extraordinarily compact design, ideal for the electronics production process.

Glass inspection is also a key application that benefits from SmartRay solutions. The ECCO 95.025g delivers superior 3D data quality in a compact design, and is specifically designed to scan flat glass and specular, highly reflective surfaces. It combines the ECCO 95 sensor technology with an optimised lens and optics, providing a high-accuracy, -resolution and -speed scanning solution.

The Dual-Head ECCO 95+ 3D sensor will also be demonstrated, which uses a combination of SmartRay’s industry-leading cameras to ensure that all the target areas of a scanned object are inspected. This is suitable for a wide range of applications that may be affected by shadowing, particularly semiconductor and consumer electronics.

Finally, visitors will see the advantages of using the turnkey solution JOSY for battery cell lid weld inspection. JOSY enables users to inspect different sizes and shapes of cells within one station, with defect detection down to 0.2mm, and delivering a full 360° recording of the weld extremely fast (inspection time <2 seconds). The JOSY weld inspection solution delivers cutting-edge accuracy at the highest speeds for this particular application.

Sungryul (Louis) Hong, the local Sales representative of the SmartRay International Korean branch office said, “Automation and electronics are important industries for SmartRay, and they are constantly developing. This is an exciting opportunity for us to demonstrate our sensors to meet the exacting, precise standards that the industry demands.”

SmartRay product experts are on stand B400 to answer any queries or address any challenges visitors may have.
